The Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) program provides many nutritious foods for growing families, information on healthy eating, help and support for breastfeeding moms and babies and referrals to health care. The health department has several Nutritionists and Personal Breastfeeding Coaches who are available to help with common breastfeeding concerns. Two of our staff are also IBCLCs (International Board Certified Lactation Consultants) who can assist with more complex breastfeeding challenges. Those who qualify for the WIC program may be eligible for extra benefits such as breast pumps or other aids to help with breastfeeding as well as on-going individual help.
There are 2 Utah WIC Formula and Food Authorization forms. One for infants and one for children 12 month and older. To streamline processing of these forms please fill in all USDA requirements.

The WIC Program offers a variety of classes for parents and their children. All classes are open to the public and taught by nutrition professionals. For dates and times please contact the WIC office at 792-6451.
