The Bear River Health Department (BRHD) is one of 12 local public health departments that work to promote and protect the health of Utah’s residents. The BRHD was originally established in 1971 by the Utah Legislature as the Bear River District Health Department. The BRHD is responsible for providing public health services to the residents of Box Elder, Cache, and Rich Counties.
The BRHD has 110 employees at five different sites and serves a population of more than 140,000 in the three county area.
