Who needs to obtain a food handlers permit? Anyone working in the food industry, whether you’re a dishwasher or server, you need this permit. The Food Handlers class teaches basic food handling skills, temperature control for food items, cross contamination, and personal hygiene when handling food. The Bear River Health Department also offers the food handlers class online.

The Food Handlers training class can also be taken online. After completing the course online you will need to go to the Bear River Health Department to take the test and receive your permit. Testing can be done anytime Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the following locations. Please call for an appointment Logan 792-6500 Brigham 734-0845.

The fee is $21. The course length is 70 minutes and provided with full audio and visual in English, Spanish, and Mandarin. Click HERE to sign up for the class.
Classroom
Classes are offered on a first come first serve basis. Registration begins 30 minutes before the start of class. Participants will be required to take a test once the class has been completed.
