Ending Nicotine Dependance (Youth Tobacco Cessation) Class PDF Print E-mail

Class Description: The END class is for youth under the age of 18 who are ticketed for a Minor in Possession of tobacco. Participants will learn about the benefits of quitting tobacco and will have the opportunity to practice behavior modification strategies to quit or reduce their tobacco use. Youth may complete the END class a maximum of 3 times.  If additional citations are received, they will be enrolled in the Youth Tobacco Cessation Support Group.


Target Population: The class is for youth under the age of 18 who have been ticketed for a Minor in Possession of tobacco ticket.
Duration The class is held for 1 ½ hours on Monday in Logan and on Tuesday in Brigham City for 4 consecutive weeks. This class is held at the court house in both Logan and Brigham City.


Cost:The registration fee for the class is $25.00


Registration Procedure: To register, students call the health department at    435-792-6510 or click here. A parent must sign an informed consent which outlines the class rules before a student can attend class.  Click here for informed consent.

          
Attendance Policy: Students must attend all 4 sessions. If a class is missed, the student will be dismissed from the class and a $10 rescheduling fee will be incurred for the next month’s class.
